Educational Criteria:

► The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by a Central or State Board recognized by the Association of Indian Universities and passed Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination.

► Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy.

► Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects.

Nationality:- The candidates who are not citizens of India at the time of registering for HSEE (by birth or naturalized) are treated as foreign nationals.

Examination Fee:

• For female candidates and SC, ST, PwD candidates is Rs. 1100/-.
• For all other candidates it is Rs. 2200/-.
• Additionally, the service charges of the Bank will be Rs.35/-.

Payment Method:- Fee should be paid either through Net Banking / Credit Card / Debit Card or through the Indian Bank Challan generated during the procedure of application.

Cities for HSEE:- The Humanities and Social Sciences Entrance Examination (HSEE) will be conducted in the following ten (10) cities:- Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chennai, Coimbatore, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi, Thiruvananthapuram, Varanasi.

Selection Method:- Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in Humanities and Social Sciences Entrance Examination (HSEE).

Exam Pattern:

• Duration of exam is of three hours and it contains two parts.
• Part 1: Consists topics such as English and comprehension skills, Analytical and Quantitative Ability, General Studies covering the areas of Indian Economics and Environment and Ecology (150 Minutes).
• Part 2: Essay on general topic involving description, or/and reflection or/and discussion (30 Minutes).
