KPSC Departmental Examination

Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) conducts the Service/ Departmental Exams prescribed for Government servants as specified in the organization (Conduct of Service Exam) Rules, nineteen sixty five & Karnataka Civil Services (Service and Kannada Lanuage Exams) Rules, nineteen seventy four twice a year i.e., first session between January to June and second session between July to December every year. Departmental Exams will be conducted in according with such syllabus specified in any general or special orders of the Government.

KPSC Departmental Examination Admission Ticket/Hall Ticket/Result

The Exams are conducted twice a year in three stages. Some four subjects of the exams for which applications are large in numbers are conducted in all the Districts in the 1st stage. Some various other subjects for which applications are small in numbers, the exams are conducted in selected nine Districts in the second stage and also some of the subjects of exams conducted in Bengaluru only in the third stage. The state Government servants working in New Delhi & All India Service Probationers are allowed to appear at Karnataka Bhavan, New Delhi and at Lalbahadur Shastri Academy at Mussorie.

The exams are conducted in conventional type for nineteen papers of thirteen various subjects with the system of central valuation & ninety eight papers of sixty three various subjects are conducted in objective multiple choice type. Information of these subjects is published in the instructions to applicants appended to this news.



Admission Tickets ->> Applicants are indicated to download the admission tickets via official website of Karnataka Public Service Commission that is kpsc.kar.nic.in before the commencement of exam. The tickets will not be sent by the Karnataka Public Service Commission separately to applicants. Applicants are suggested to preserve the admission ticket for future use, since duplicate of the same will not be announced later.

Viva-Voce ->> A Kannada Viva-Voce test will be conducted to those applicants who get the eligibility via written exam in Kannada Language at 5 centres including Commission’s Head Office at Bengaluru and other four centres where Commission’s regional offices/ district offices are functioning at present.

Announcement of Result ->> The consequence of Departmental exam specifying the register numbers of the successful applicants in the exam will be released by the organization, in organization official website that is kpsc.kar.nic.in & also in the Karnataka Gazette. A certificate will be issued to the well-turned applicants under the signature of the Controller of Departmental Exams. No separate marks statement will be announced to anybody aspirants as the marks will be released in organization website along with the result.

Retotaling of Marks ->> Applicant who has failed in any subject/ paper can apply for retotalling of marks within thirty days of publication of results, by paying a sum of `100/- as fee for each subject via Indian Postal Order. It is to be noted that there is no provision for revaluation of the answer scripts under the departmental exam rules. 

Procedure to be Followed For Issue of Duplicate Certificate/S and Retotaling of Marks for Departmental Examination ->>
I. There will be 2 separate forms for obtaining duplicate certificate/s & applying for retotalling of marks have been hosted in the organization officials website. By downloading the said forms and following the requirements there on can apply for duplicate certificates and retotalling of marks as well. II. If the candidate furnishes all the details required for the verification of results, the duplicate certificate will be issued within fifteen days from the date of receipt of representation in the office of the Commission.
N.B:- Any correspondence pertaining to the Departmental Examinations should be addressed to the Controller of Exams, Departmental Exams, Karnataka Public Service Commission, Udyoga Soudha, Bengaluru-560001 and must contain the relevant particulars of the exams like as correct name & address of the candidate, Register No., Session, Subject/s, Centre/s, District, Fee in the form of Indian Postal Order payable to The Secretary, KPSC, Udyoga Soudha, Bengaluru-560001.
