Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) New Delhi is inviting applications from eligible candidates for the Post of Assistant Professor in Advertising - Media Planning and Hindi Journalism.

The Indian Institute of Mass Communication (इंडियन इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ मास कम्युनिकेशन) is an Indian media centre of learning funded and promoted by the Government of India in New Delhi. The organization is an autonomous society under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Its one of India's premier institutes for training, teaching and research in mass communication. IIMC was set up by the Government of India in nineteen sixty five on the recommendation of a team of internationally known mass communication specialists from UNESCO and the Ford Foundation.

Qualification and Experience ->>

Assistant Professor (Advertising – Media Planning) ->> (1) MBA/PGDM (2 years)/ Master’s degree in Mass Communication/ Media Planning/ Communication Management or related areas with at least first class degree, as declared by AIU, from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

(2) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC.

(3) The candidates who are or have been awarded Ph.D degree in accordance with the UGC (Minimum Standards and procedure for the award of M.Phil/Ph.D Degree) shall be exempt from the requirement of NET/SET/SLET for appointment/recruitment of Assistant Professor and equivalent positions. NET shall also not be required for such Masters Programme in disciplines for which NET is not conducted.

Assistant Professor (Hindi Journalism) – Reserved for PwD ( Orthopedically Handicapped) ->> (1) MBA/PGDM (2 years)/ Master’s degree in Mass Communication/ Media Planning/ Communication Management or related areas with at least first class degree, as declared by AIU, from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

Pay Scale ->> Selected candidate will get good amount of salary 15,600 – 39,100 with Grade Pay Rs. 6000/- from organization
