Air Force (IAF) is inviting online applications from eligible applicants

Educational Qualification ->> Applicants
must attain PG Degree in any Science stream/ Mathematics/ Statistics/
Geography/ Computer Applications/ Environmental Science/ Applied Physics/
Oceanography/ Meteorology/ Agricultural Meteorology/ Ecology & Environment/
Geo-physics/ Environmental Biology with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of
all papers put together.
(Provided Math and Physics were studied at Graduation Level with
a minimum of 55% marks in both).
Age Limit ->> Minimum
age 20 years & maximum age is 26 years.
Salary Details ->> Selected
candidates will get Rs.15, 600 - 39,100/- per month. Job seekers
will also receive GP, Military Service Pay, Dearness Allowance, Kit Maintenance
Allowance, and Transport Allowance. In addition, other allowances are
applicable based on nature of duty/ place of posting and would include Field
Area Allowance, Special Compensatory (Hill area) Allowance, Searching
Allowance, Island Special Duty Allowance, Area Allowance and Remote Locality
Allowance. After successful completion of the training period the monthly IAF
Salary of the aspirant will approximately be Rs. 68,550/- (allowance
applicable).

Commissioned Officers Recruitment Benefits ->> Via the
IAF jobs, In addition to the Pay and Allowances, officers are entitled to
furnished accommodation, comprehensive medical cover for self and dependents,
supply of entitled rations, Canteen and officers’ Mess facilities and many
more. LTC and Leave (60 days Annual and 20 days Casual) subject to service
exigencies. Rs.75 Lakh Insurance Cover (on contribution) is applicable to
serving officers.
Selection
Process ->> The candidates have to appear in the Intelligence Test
along with PP & DT; will be on the first day. The 2nd test will be the
screening test and only those who qualify would undergo subsequent testing. The
3rd stage test will be consisting of Psychological, Group Tests and Interview
which will be conducted on subsequent days (Five Days).

The minimum acceptable height for male candidates is
157.5 cm. For women candidates minimum acceptable height is 152 cm. (For
Gorkhas and individual belonging to hills of North-Eastern region of India,
Garhwali and Kumaon, the minimum acceptable height will be 5 cm less. In case
of candidates from Lakshadweep, the minimum acceptable height will be by 2 cm
less. Applicable to men and women). Weight: Proportionate to the height and
age.

Corrected visual acuity should be 6/6 in the better
eye and 6/18 in the worse eye. Wearing of glasses will be compulsory.

CP-II

LASIK surgery for Ground Duty (Non-technical) Branch is as
follows:
Post
PRK/LASIK candidates must meet the visual requirements required for the
branch as laid down in Para 3.12.5.2 IAP 4303(4th edition).
The
following criteria must be satisfied prior to selecting post-PRK/LASIK at the
time of Air Force Medical Examination.
PRK/LASIK
surgery should not have been carried out before the age of 20 years.
The
axial length of the eye should not be more than 25.5 mm as measured by IOL
master.
At
least 12 months should have elapsed post uncomplicated stable PRK/LASIK with
no history or evidence of any complication.
The
post LASIK corneal thickness as measured by a corneal pachy meter should not
less than 450 microns.
Individuals
with high refractive errors (>6D) prior to LASIK are to be excluded.
Candidates
having undergone cataract surgery with or without IOL implants will also be
declared unfit.
