Sports Disciplines:

Outstanding sportsmen who have participated at International or Junior or Senior National Championship or Senior State Championship or All India Inter University Championship in Athletics, Aquatics, Basket-ball, Boxing, Cricket, Football, Gymnastics, Handball, Hockey, Kabaddi, Volleyball, Weightlifting, Wrestling, Squash, Best Physique and Equestrian (Horse Polo).

Eligibility Criteria:

For Direct Entry Petty Officer:

Eligibility:

12th in any stream with sports position 6th at National/ Senior level or 3rd position in National (juniors) or 3rd position in the Inter University meets.

Age limit:

• Minimum age: 17 years
• Maximum age: 22 years

For Senior Secondary Recruitment (SSR):

Eligibility:

10+2 in any stream and should have participated at International/ National/ State level or represented a University in the Inter University tournament.

Age limit:

• Minimum age: 17 years
• Maximum age: 21 years

For Matric Recruits (MR) for Cooks or Stewards:

Eligibility:

10th or its equivalent and should have participated at International or National or State level tournament.

Age limit:

• Minimum age: 17 years
• Maximum age: 21 years

For Matric Recruits (MR) for Cooks or Stewards:

Eligibility:

6th Standard pass should have participated at International or National or State level tournament.

Age limit:

17 to 21 years.

Pay Scale:

• During the initial training period of Rs 5700 per month.
• On completion of training, they will be placed in the pay scale of Rs 5200-20200 plus grade pay 2000 per month.

Physical standards test:-

• Height – Minimum height for male candidates 157 centimeters. Weight and chest should be proportionate. Minimum chest expansion of 5 centimeter.
• Tattoo – Permanent body tattoos on any part of the body are permitted to candidates belonging to tribal communities/ from tribal areas as declared by the Government of India.
• Training: – The initial training for the course will be conducted at INS Chilka followed by Professional training in the allotted trade in various naval training establishments.

Selection Process:

Job seekers will be selected on the basis of previous records and performance of sports. After qualifying the trials they will be called for Medical Test at INS Hamla, Mumbai.
