UPSC IAS Civil Services Examination Eligibility:

It is always better to check the eligibility requirements before applying for UPSC IAS Civil Services Examination. Here are the criteria set by UPSC for Civil Services examination.
Essential Requirements:
  • Applicant should belong to India, Nepal and Bhutan.
  • Candidates other than the above countries are not eligible.
  • An Indian origin person currently inhabitant of Malawi, Uganda, Burma, East African countries, Pakistan and Vietnam are also eligible to appear in UPSC IAS Examination.

Educational Requirements for UPSC IAS Exam:
  • Bachelor degree in any stream from any recognized university of India.
  • Those who are currently studying in their final year of graduation can also fill UPSC IAS application form.
  • Those who are in final year they should have their final result at the time of UPSC IAS Mains examination.
  • Candidates those who have completed their MBBS but have not completed internship they can also appear in pre and mains examination but they have to show the original degree at time of IAS interview.
