National Law University (NLU), Delhi offers many Graduate and PG Degree courses in different disciplines. Eligibility Criteria:
For B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) Course:  
  • Applicants should have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with securing minimum 50% aggregate.
  • Applicants should be below 21 (twenty one) years (23 years in case of SC/ST category) for B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) programme.
For LL.M. (One year) programme & PG Diploma programme:
Aspirants should have completed LL.B. or an Equivalent Law Degree with securing 55% marks (for general candidates) and 50% marks (for SC, ST or PwD candidates).
For Ph.D programme:
  • Students should have a LL.M. Degree or equivalent with scoring minimum 55% marks for general candidates and 50% marks for SC/ST/PwD applicants.
  • Applicants appearing in qualifying exam are also eligible to apply.

Application Fee:
  • General candidates: Rs. 3000/- 
  • SC/ST category candidate: Rs. 1000/-

Selection of students will be based on the performance in written test.

AILET Exam Pattern:
The exam pattern for B.A.LL.B.(Hons.), LL.M and Ph.D. Programmes will be different. The detailed exam pattern for these courses is mentioned below:

B.A., LL.B. (Hons.):
  • The question paper will contain total 150 multiple choice questions.
  • There will be four optional answers will be given for each question.
  • The exam duration will be 1 hour 30 minutes.

LL.M Course:
  • The question paper will carry maximum 150 marks.
  • There will be 100 objective type questions and 1 essay question.
  • The exam duration will be around 90 minutes.
  • The objective type section will contain 100 marks and essay section will contain 50 marks.

Ph.D. Programmes:
  • The entrance exam will comprise in two papers i.e. paper 1 (Research Methodology) and paper 2(Research Proposal Specific Paper).
  • The paper 1 will comprise in 100 multiple choice questions and the time duration will be 1 hour 30 minutes.
  • The paper 2 candidates have to submit a research proposal not more than 15 pages on the topic which candidates want to pursue a Ph.D.

AILET Syllabus:
English –
The English section comprised of 35 questions from comprehension passages , synonyms, antonyms, choosing correct words, idioms and phrases, jumble words and sentences, fill-in the blanks, etc. The unseen passages will be tailed by questions related to the passage. The English section is meant to test the language skill and vocabulary of the candidates.

General Knowledge –
The 35 questions of General Knowledge covered the topics such as History, Geography, General Science, Economics, Civics and Current Affairs of the past one year. This section will assess your knowledge of the recent happenings and awareness of the world.

Basic Mathematics –
This section had 10 questions to test the numerical ability of candidates. The Mathematics questions were set from 10th and 12th level, of various topics including Profit and Loss, Speed and Distance, Time and Work, Algebra, Average, Permutation and Combination and Venn Diagrams.

Legal Aptitude –
The section was to majorly test your interest towards study of law, research aptitude and problem solving ability. The 35 questions were framed on legal propositions and set of facts satisfying the propositions. The propositions may not be true in real sense and you had to assume the true proposition based on the set of facts and answer the questions accordingly.

Reasoning –
There were as many as 35 questions testing your logical and analytical reasoning skills. You came across some questions with passages and the reasoning questions was framed on the information provided in the passages.

AILET Admit Card:
AILET Admit Card/ hall ticket will be released by National Law University (NLU), Delhi in before 15 days of exam. Candidates can download the call letter/ hall ticket via the official website of National Law University (NLU), Delhi that is www.nludelhi.ac.in. AILET call letter will contain the exam information like applicants name & roll number, exam center, exam date & timing, etc.

AILET Result:
Applicants who have participated in the All India Law Entrance Test can check their result via the official website of National Law University (NLU), Delhi that is www.nludelhi.ac.in. The question booklet and answer key will be uploaded on the official website of organization. On the basis of marks scored in All India Law Entrance Test, a merit list will be prepared separately for all the categories. Applicants who wish to apply for copy of OMR sheet may send a DD of Rs.1000/- drawn on the favor of Registrar National Law University Delhi.
