The Southern Air Command of the IAF is headquartered in Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum), which is in the southern side (दक्षिणी ओर) of India. This is one among the 5 commands of Indian Air Force (भारतीय वायु सेना). This command was started (शुरू कर दिया है) on nineteen July nineteen eighty four and is relatively new among (अपेक्षाकृत बीच नई) the other commands. The conflicts (संघर्ष) in Sri Lanka and the need for establishing (स्थापना) a strong base over the Indian Ocean resulted to the formation of this new command. The SAC was inaugurated (का उद्घाटन किया) by Indira Gandhi, the then Prime Minister (प्रधान मंत्री) of India. Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have done Matriculation or
equivalent qualification from a recognized university or Board.
Age Limit:
Applicants who are eligible to apply for this
recruitment they should be below 18 (eighteen) year and not be above 25 (twenty
fine) years of age.

as per recruiting organization norms.
Selection Process:
Candidates
will be based on their performance in written exam/ personal interview which
will be conducted by the organization. No TA/ DA will be paid to attend the Test/
Interview.
Salary
Details:
Selected
applicants for the post of Cook and Painter will attain salary in scale pay of
Rs. 520O-2020O/-with Grade Pay Rs.1800/- and applicants who will be selected
for other posts they will attain salary in same scale pay with the grade pay of
Rs. 1800/- per month from Southern Air Command.
