SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria

Staff Selection Commission has announced a notification as “SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria” for assist of applicants who have applied & are going to participate in exam of Combined Graduate Level. Combined Graduate Level exam will be held in upcoming days by Staff Selection Commission.

Educational Qualification:

The basic educational qualification required for most of the posts in Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level exam is a Bachelor‟s Degree (Graduation Degree) or equivalent from a recognized University.

Name of the Post	Education Qualification
Compiler	Bachelor‟s Degree with Economics or Statistics or Mathematics as compulsory or Elective subject from any recognized University.
Statistical Investigator Grade – II	Graduation with statistics as one of the main subjects .OR Bachelor‟s Degree with Mathematics( with Statistics as a papers studied in one year/two years/all three years as the case may be) as one of the main subjects. OR Graduation with Economics ( with Statistics as a paper studied in one year/two years/all the three years as the case may be) as one of the main subjects. OR Graduation with Commerce (with Statistics as a paper studied in one year/two years/all the three years as the case may be) as one of the main subjects.
All other posts	Graduation
Assistants(CSS)	Graduation + Computer Proficiency

Note:

Degree obtained from open Universities/ Distance Education is allowed in this exam, The University should be recognized by Distance Education Council, IGNOU.

Applicants acquire the prescribed qualification on or before last date , failing which their candidature will be cancelled.

Age Limitation:

The age limitations for SSC CGL exam is following:-

Statistical Investigator Gr.II	Not exceeding 26 years
Assistant/Sub Inspector in CBI	20 to 27 years

Relaxation in age limit for SSC CGL Exam (Chart):

OBC	3 years
SC/ST	5 years
Physically Handicapped candidates ( PH)	10 years
PH + OBC	13 years
PH + SC/ST	15 years

Physical Fitness:

If you are applying for the post of Inspector (Central Excise/Examiner/Preventive Officer ) or Sub-Inspector in CBI then you must be physically fit otherwise your candidature will be rejected. The following physical standard is required for these posts:-

Male	157.5 cms.	Chest 81 cms. (fully expanded with a minimum expanses of 5 cms.)Note – There is a relaxation of 5 cms. available for Garwalis, Assamese, Gorkhas and members of Scheduled Tribes.	–
Female	152 cms.Height relaxable by 2.5 cms	–	48 Kgs.Note :-Weight by 2 Kgs. for  Gorkhas, Garwalis, Assamese and Members of Scheduled Tribes

Physical Test:

Male	1600 metres  in 15 minutes	8 Kms.  In 30  minutes
Female	1 Km. in 20 minutes	3 Kms. in 25 minutes

Sub-Inspector in CBI:

Sex	Height	Chest	Vision
Man	165 cms. Height relaxable for Hillsmen and Tribals : 5 cms	76 cms.  with  expansion	Eye-sight (with or without glasses) Distant vision : 6/6 in one and 6/9 in the other eye. Near vision 0.6 in one eye and 0.8 in other eye.
Woman	150 cms.	–	Same
