Railway Technical Cadre/ Non Technical Cadre Examination Railway Eligibility Criteria involve nationhood, limit of age & qualification.  The Indian railways are generally divided & sub-divided into zones, divisions and departments, every controlling a special action. Selection Process of Non Technical and Technical Posts:

The Ministry of Railways and RRB conducts written examination to fill various Non Technical and Technical posts. The examinations are designed according to the educational standards required for the post. For few categories, written examination can be followed by interview & for others a skill test or psychological test can also be conducted as required by the posts Job profile. All questions are multiple-choice objective type.

More than one written exam can be conducted (Preliminary and mains exam) if the number of candidates is large. Written exam includes questions on Arithmetical Aptitude, General responsiveness, and General English. Questions on logical and analytical reasoning will also be included in the exam. English will be the just mode of instruction for the Technical Cadre examination.

Last selection on volition post is based on the total marks obtained in written test and interview, wherever provided, plus clearing Aptitude/ skill test/ vision exam etc. as required. The deputation of appointed applicant is subject to his passing requisite Medical Fitness Test conducted by the organization.
