Air
Force Branches
B.Tech. and Diploma /Degree holder applicants may also
apply under UES. There are 3 Branches under Air force, that are –
- Flying Branch
- Technical Branch
- Ground Duty Branch
Flying
Branch
In this you will obtain the training as a fighter pilot
or a helicopter pilot, or a Transport pilot with some other essential training
for peace & wartime mission. You may enter to the Flying branch through
Indian Air Force Academy.
The following three modes of entry for candidate to
join in the Air Force Flying Branch –
- Combined Defence Services Examination (CDSE), which is conducted by UPSE
- National Cadet Corps
- SSC (Short Service Commission) Men & Women

Eligibility
Criteria for SSC –
Applicants should be more than nineteen years of age
and twenty three years of age and should be unmarried & must be citizen of
India. Candidates must have completed B.E. from any affiliated University.
Technical
Branch
In this you will obtain an opportunity to obtain in
charge of some of the most complex equipment in the universe. There are 2
schemes under it –
- Direct Entry Scheme
- Through Aeronautical Engineering/ SSC (Short Service Commission)
Selection
Procedure:
- The selection procedure includes the Scrutiny of Applications, Written Exam, testing officer like qualities in the candidates.
- Selected applicants are then called for the Medical Exams.
- At last the preparing of all India Merit List is generated & finally shortlist of candidates is drawn.
