Assam Police Constable Exam Pattern

The candidates should note down that written examination of fifty (50) Marks will be conducted to choose the right applicants. The type of the exam will be objective type, hundred (100) multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) will be asked in the examination and the right answer will bring half ½ marks. The applicants should not be scared as there are no negative markings for the wrong answers. The questions will be asked from the Class nine (09) & ten (10).

(I). PST:- Forty (40) Marks.

(II). Extra Curricular Activities & Special Skills:- Ten (10) Marks.

(III). Education Qualification:- Five (05) Marks (differs for merit percentages).

(IV). National cadet Corps (NCC):- Three (03) Marks.

(V). Home Guards:- Three (03) Marks.

(VI). Sports:- Three (03) Marks

(VII). Proficiency in Computers:- Five (05) marks

Therefore, the end result to choose the applicants will be based on PST forty (40) Marks, written test fifty (50) marks & extracurricular ten (10) marks i.e. total of hundred (100) marks.

Selection Process:- Candidates will be selected on the basis of:-

(I). Document verification

(II). Physical Standard test

(III). Medical examination

(IV). Physical Efficiency Test

(V). Written examination

Physical Standard Test (PST):

Job seekers will called for Physical Standard Test (PST), before going to check up, authorities will verify the Documents. If all the documents found correct, under go for Physical Standard Test (PST). In this Physical Standard Test (PST), they check height, weight and chest (Only for male). Physical Standard Test (PST) will carry no Marks.

Medical examination:

The applicants who found qualified according to the above given Height, Weight & chest more inspected by medical Officer for preliminary Check-ups like Knock Knee, Vision test, Colour blindness test, flat foot, varicose-vein & physical deformities etc.

Physical Efficiency Test: 40 marks

Applicants, who clear Physical Standard Test (PST), will go for Physical Efficiency Test (PET). The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) consists of two (02) Events for forty (40) marks.

(I). Race

(II). Long Jump

For Male:-  3.2 Km race within 14 minutes (840 sec)

Minimum 335 Cm for long Jump (3 chances for longest valid)

For Female:-  1800 Mtrs race within 8 minutes

Minimum 244 cm for long jump (3 chances for longest valid)
