Eligibility Conditions: Candidates in Western Railway will be selected on the basis of several tests and interview, based on the performance selected candidates will be divided into some categories according to their performance and they will get different salary packages. Now we are going to give you the information of eligibility conditions for each division of salary structure.

For Rs. 2800 / 2400 grade pay scale posts:

• Candidates should be graduate.
• Sports achievements:
• Candidates must have represented the country in Olympics at senior level.
• Candidates must have represented the country in world cup (either junior level or senior level) / World Championships (Junior/Senior) /Asian Games (at senior level) / Commonwealth Games (at senior position) and obtained at least 3rd position.

For Rs. 2000 / 1900 grade pay scale posts:

• Candidates must have cleared SSC or Matriculate.
• Sports achievements:
• Candidates must have represented the country in World Cup (either junior level or senior level), World Championships (either junior level or senior level), Asian Games (Senior) & Commonwealth Games (at senior level)

OR

• Represented the country in the Commonwealth Championship (either junior level or senior level) / Asian Championship/Asia Cup (either junior level or senior level)/South Asian Federation (SAF) Games (Senior) /USIC (World Railways) Championship (Senior) and obtained at least 3rd position.

OR

• Candidates must have represented a State or equivalent unit in Senior/Youth/Junior National Championships and obtained at least 3rd Position.

OR

• Candidates must have represented a State in National Games organized under the protection of Indian Olympic Association. Along with that candidates must have obtained 3rd position in it.

OR

• Candidates must have represented a University or Institute in All India Inter University Championship organized under the Association of Indian Universities and along with that candidates must have obtained at least 3rd position.

OR

• Candidates should have represented a State or equivalent Unit in Federation Cup Championships (at senior level) and also obtained 1st position.

For Rs. 1800 grade pay posts:

• Candidates must be minimum SSC or matriculate pass.
• Sports achievements:
• Those candidates who wish to apply must have represented country in the Commonwealth Championship (either junior level or senior level) / Asian Championship / Asia Cup (either junior level or senior level) / South Asian Federation (SAF) Games (at senior level) / USIC (World Railways) Championship (at senior level).

OR

• Candidates must have represented a State or equivalent Unit in Federation Cup Championships (at seniorlevel) and obtained at least 3rd position.

OR

• Candidates must have represented a State or equivalent unit in Senior/Youth/Junior National Championships.

OR

• Sportspersons must have represented a Unit or District of the State in the Senior State Championship and also get at least 3rd Position

Age Criteria: those who wish to join Western Railway through this recruitment must be in between 18 to 25 years old.

Salary Structure: candidates after selection will get PB - 1 Rs. 5200 to 20200 /- per month for every post.

Method of selection: Sports persons will be called for trial and there fitness will be checked. Fit candidates will be called for interview. Fitness level of candidates will be examined by selection committee.

Application fee: those candidates who belong to SC / ST category are exempted from application fee while Rs. 100/- will be charged from other candidates.

How to apply: Candidates have to send the application form in the appropriate format to the postal address of Western Railway. Candidates do not forget to paste the photographs at given spaces and your signature should be at every required space. Application forms must reach at the official postal address before the last date.
