This is a national level examination to recruit hidden talent for the various posts which are available in central government of India in various departments. This year Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is going to conduct CHSL examination to recruit candidates for Data Entry Operator and Lower Division Clerk Posts.

All the jobs through SSC are lined with central government of India. Every year huge number of candidates fill the application for job through Staff Selection Commission (SSC). But selection is not easy because of huge competition. Candidates from all over India are eager to get job through Staff Selection Commission (SSC) CHSL.

Here in this section we are going to give you the information of Staff Selection Commission (SSC) exam pattern which will make you mentally prepare for this examination.

Selection procedure of SSC CHSL: candidates those who want to apply for Data Entry Post will have to clear written examination and skill test and for those who want to apply for Lower Division Clerk post will have to clear written examination and typing test on computer.

Written examination: there will be total 200 questions in the written examination. Time duration for this written examination is two hours. All the questions will be of objective type. More details of this examination is given below:

There will be negative marking in the written examination. 0.25 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. Language of question paper will be both English and Hindi but English Language (Part II) will only be in English language.

Skill test: candidates those who have applied for Data Entry post have to clear skill test. Only those candidates will be called for skill test those who have achieved the minimum qualifying marks in written examination. Target in skill test is that you have to make 8000 correct key depression in 15 minutes according to given passage. A printed matter will be given to participants containing 2000 to 2200 key depression, which should be typed by participants in computer.

Typing Test: this test is for candidates who have applied for Lower Division Clerk. In this test candidates will be checked in typing speed. Only those candidates will be allowed for tying test those who have successfully clear written examination. Typing test may be of English and Hindi language. In the application form there would be an option of language of typing test. The task will be given in Typing Test is to type 35 correct words per minute for English language and 30 words per is for Hindi typing. Those who fails to secure the minimum qualifying marks in written examination will get entry ticket for typing test.
