UPSC Geologist examination syllabus and examination pattern:

This examination is conducted for two category, Geological Survey of India (GSI) and Central Ground Water Board (CGWB). This examination is conducted once in a year. Examination pattern of UPSC Geologist is given in the following table:-

There will be three sections in the question paper of SCRA. Those sections are

  • Mathematics

Ability test:
  • General Knowledge

  • Psychological Test

Physical science:
  • Physics
  • Chemistry

Mathematics:
  • Algebra
  • Trigonometry
  • Geometry (two dimensions)
  • Differential Calculus

  • Vectors and its applications

IAS syllabus and examination pattern:
There will be two examinations for selection in IAS, preliminary and mains. Syllabus for each examination is given below:

Preliminary exam:
Preliminary examination is divided into two papers- Paper 1 and 2.
