It seems that CM of AP. CM of Andhra Pradesh agrees with Prime Minister of India thought as he is going to launch a free Smartphone Yojana for students in AP. There are many young, intelligent students in Andhra Pradesh state who at present are not eligible to live up to their potential due to their poverty. Due to lack of resources, such candidates often get themselves lagging behind.

Eligibility Standard:

• Contenders should be resident of Andhra Pradesh
• Candidates must be a student with valid Student ID Card
• Only the applicants belonging to the BPL category are eligible to apply

Registration Process:

• Recently such schemes were launched in two states – Uttar Pradesh and Punjab.
• In both of these states the booking for the free phone was done online.
• Official online portals were set up and users could register directly from there.
• Although the Andhra Government hasn’t launched any portal yet, it is expected that soon the registration portal will be launched and applications will be accepted via online mode only.

• Once the portal is launched, the registration steps will include –
• Visit the Direct link of registration page.
• Entering the basic information like Name, Address etc.
• Providing aadhaar card number, mobile number and email for verification.
• Enter the OTP (One time Password).
• Providing the details of Institute/College.
• Uploading the College/Institute ID card.
• Uploading BPL Card.
• After the successful submission of online application form, a system generated application number will appear on the screen.
• Note down the number as it will be required later on.
• Take print out for future reference.
