The University was named after Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, India’s first Minister of Education, a freedom fighter in India’s struggle for independence, and a scholar of Islam and Urdu literature.

Abul Kalam Muhiyuddin Ahmed Azad was an Indian scholar and a senior political leader of the Indian independence movement (भारतीय स्वतंत्रता आंदोलन). In nineteen ninety two he was posthumously awarded India's highest civilian award, the Bharat Ratna. He is commonly remembered as Maulana Azad, the word Maulana is an honorific meaning 'Our Master', and he had adopted Azad (Free) as his pen name. His contribution to establishing (स्थापित करने के लिए योगदान) the education foundation in India is recognized by celebrating his birthday as "National Education Day" (राष्ट्रीय शिक्षा दिवस) across India.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

Applicants must possess Ph.D/ Bachelor/ Master Degree qualification in the concerned/ allied/ relevant discipline &/ or cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/ SET for Teaching & Academic Posts, Master Degree & B.Ed for PGT, Graduation/ Post Graduation with 50% Marks& B.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed/ B.A. Ed/ University Degree for TGT, Yoga Teahers, Diploma after Higher Secondary for Work Experience Teachers, Senior Secondary School Certificate for PRT with relevant experience.

Age Limit:

Applicant age should not be above:-

40 years for PGT & Head Master (TGT)

30 years for PRF

35 years for other Model School Teachers

35 years for Post D-1, 2 & 9

33 years for Post D-3, 4 & 5

30 years for Post D-6, 8, 10 to 13

32 years for Post D-7

28 years for Post D-14 & 15

Age Relaxation:

Upper age relaxation of 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ ST & Women, 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (PWD) & Other candidates is applicable as per rules. For more information refer notification.

Selection Process:

Selection of applicants will be done on the basic of their performance in test/ interview.

Application Fee:

Applicants have to pay Rs. 500/- for Posts A & B, D-1, 2 & Rs. 300/- for Posts C, D- 3 to 15 as registration fee for General & OBC in form of crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Hyderabad, on any Nationalized Bank payable at Hyderabad. No fee for SC/ ST/ PWD & Women candidates. Write name of the post applied his / her name & address on the back of the Demand Draft.

How to Apply:

• All applicants visit official website of organization which is – www.manuu.ac.in
• After this move the cursor on “Employment” tab at the middle of the home page.
• Find the appropriate vacancy link for which you want to apply and press on “Information Booklet” link to read the official notification.
• After reading the official notification completely and attentively you have to download the application format available at the official portal.
• Take a print out of the same and fill application with all detailed information in correct manner.
• Send their application in prescribed format along with API sore card, original demand draft, photocopies of all important certificates, self-addressed envelope with Rs.5/- postal stamp.
